Many families don't realize that their child is eligible for our program. Apply and we will check your eligibility! Don't worry: you don't need to provide any materials or prove your eligibility. After each testing cycle, the Florida Department of Education provides us a list of eligible students through a secure file transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plus, even if your child isn't currently eligible, we'll keep your application on file and check eligibility each time we receive new data from the state. If a currently ineligible child becomes eligible in the future, they\u2019ll automatically begin receiving books and activities!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

During your first year in the program, you may have some deliveries with more than one book and activitiy to help ensure you get all 9 books for that year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Florida Department of Education sends us data from FAST tests, FAA lists and district surveys that flag whether a child receives tier 2 or tier 3 reading interventions in class.

Yes! There will just be a waiting period until we receive their student data. You'll get an email saying you don't qualify right now, but don't worry: we'll keep your application on file and email you if your child becomes eligible in the future!<\/p><\/div><\/div>

I got an email saying you couldn't match my records. Why?<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>

Sometimes, we can't find a child's records. Several common reasons include:

-The application contains nicknames, the wrong birthday, or a similar mistake in the child's information.
-The child is homeschooled.
-The child is in private school.

For the best chance at matching your child's records, applications should list a student\u2019s full, legal name (no nicknames or abbreviations) the student's date of birth, grade level, district, and school.

If you receive an email saying we can't confirm your child's eligibility yet, but your child meets all of the necessary eligibility criteria, then we may have a delay in receiving their data. Please don't send us any records of your own! Due to student privacy requirements, we can only receive student records from the state.
