Florida has a free program for families called New Worlds Reading. Kids in VPK – 5th grade can get 9 free books that you choose + activities to build reading skills. See if your child is eligible at newworldsreading.com.

UF Lastinger Center Logos

Read the UF Lastinger Center Logo Guidelines

Logo Guidelines

The primary logo should be used whenever possible. If the logo needs to be used on a dark background a white version with orange divider is available. Single color variations should be used sparingly.

The Lastinger Center for Learning logo follows the UF branding guidelines for College, Department and Unit logos found at brandcenter.ufl.

. Per UF-mandated guidelines, use of the Lastinger Center for Learning logo requires approval. Email lastingercomms@coe.ufl.edu for approval.

Ensure the Lastinger Center’s logo has at least 150% spacing around the logo based on the logo sizing. For example, if the logo is 100 pixels wide and 300 pixels long, the padding of the logo should be 150 pixels by 450 pixels. To ensure readability, the Lastinger Center logo should not be printed smaller than 1.25 inches.

Do not add drop shadows or other graphic treatments to the logo. Do not place the logo on busy images or unapproved colored backgrounds.
Do not place the logo background that do not have enough contrast. Do not skew or distort the logo.

Logo Guidelines

The full-color version of the brand logo is the preferred usage and should be employed whenever possible. Please always ensure materials with this logo also contain a UF Lastinger Center logo. These color specifications indicate how each element of the New Worlds Reading logo should be treated. Do not deviate from these designations, as these colors
have been selected to effectively convey the tone and personality of the brand as well as adhere to ADA compliance.

To ensure the New Worlds Reading logo is not overlooked, it should not be produced at less than 1 inch in size. Please leave adequate clear space around the logo.

Choose color backgrounds that provide enough contrast to ensure that the logo is easily seen. When the logo mark must be displayed against backgrounds such as pictures or illustrations, choose an area on the background in which there is little
variation, like the sky in a photograph of scenery.

Do not add drop shadows or other graphic treatments to the logo. Do not change the colors of the logo. Do not skew or distort the logo. Do not change the typeface of the logotype. Do not rearrange elements of the logo. Do not add graphic elements to the logo. See page 24 for correct applications. Do not place the logo on busy images or unapproved colored backgrounds.
